SEGAs requirements were to showcase Sonic in a new, 3d environment and to put everyone's favourite spiky blue hedgehog and his new enemies The Deadly Six at centre stage. Ichi's creatives then developed a script around a CG element, being produced elsewhere, that rose to this challenge whilst showing off Sonic's classic moves. It was important to SEGA that the music fitted the vibe of the game and appealed to the target demographic so various tracks were tested and the trailer re-cut before we found the right mix.
